Sales/Business Outreach Manager

Overview
blissmo, the leading discovery platform for eco-friendly products is looking for a Sales/Business Outreach Manager. If you are scrappy, know how to get things done, and want to be a key member of an early-stage company: we want to hear from you.

The business outreach position is primarily responsible for (1) establishing new relationships with relevant vendors (2) negotiating terms of promotions (3) logging activity in salesforce CRM and (4) laying the groundwork for building the team. We expect this position to evolve into a more managerial role in 8-12 months, as you’ll play a hand in crafting the growth strategy for the business outreach team. Experience with sales experience is essential, but we’re also looking people who are sharp, enthusiastic about our mission, and have the charisma & energy to get businesses excited about being featured on blissmo.

Responsibilities
Cold call prospective clients to facilitate new business
Structure compelling deals that will generate excitement from our shoppers
Negotiate the terms of a promotion & close the contracts in a timely manner
Use our CRM tools to track your activities
Help to understand & document best practices to be shared across the team
Help to craft the sales strategy as we continue to scale-up the company
Experience
You’ve got a 4-year college degree
You’ve got 1 to 4 years of experience in sales
You get a thrill from cold-calling and have demonstrated an ability to build relationships & close deals over the phone
You’re passionate about sustainability and working towards our cause
Skills
Desire to work in a startup environment and interest in growing with the company
Competitiveness, persistence & determination to accomplish your goals
Basic understanding of the daily deal model as a marketing tool (and comfort with the math involved)
World-class written & phone communication skills, and a willingness to churn through large numbers of cold calls
Crazy well-organized
Excellent interpersonal skills that shine particularly bright when dealing with clients
