Sales Development Representative (Mountain View)

at Ooyala in Mountain View, CA   —   Jun 29, 2014   |  
Based in our Mountain View Office, this position is responsible for telephone and web-based lead generation activity for Ooyala products and services in the US west coast. Works closely with Marketing and the Business Solutions group to ensure qualified "A/B" leads are provided that will lead to closed deals.
Full Cycle Lead Generation:
Efficiently and effectively qualify all inbound leads
Prospect outbound leads
Convert warm leads into meetings for Business Solutions Managers that convert to opportunities and closed deals
Early Stage Sales Cycle:
Introduce product details to potential customers and answer initial service inquiries
Conduct a needs analysis and summary for Business Solutions Managers
Send and manage general inquiries around product packaging and pricing
Maintain database i.e. updating information, adding contacts, and entering new accounts from our target list
Understand the inputs and outputs of the process and look for new ways to improve the key metrics
Partner with Business Solutions Managers to achieve monthly and quarterly and booking objectives
Execute marketing campaign strategies in partnership with Marketing department
Act as a subject matter expert and effectively communicate Ooyala’s product solution; effectively articulate our pitch, including an overview of key features and benefits, service offerings, differentiation, and competitive positioning
Perform additional duties as required
2 + years of sales or lead generation experience
Demonstrated cold calling ability with success in high call volume environments
Ability to communicate effectively via telephone by utilizing active listening and clearly articulating the Ooyala product position to the Customer
Ability to communicate effectively via email transmission by utilizing proper grammar and punctuation skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to remain highly motivated and competitive to ensure consistent productivity
Proficient with & Microsoft Office
Good business acumen
Proficient spoken and written English
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities using different media
Neat, professional appearance
