Responsibilities
As the Sales Engineering Manager you will be managing a group of 6-10 Sales Engineers. Provide direction to the sales team for solutions, as well as, the delivery and operational support for our business.
Guiding a multi-state team to provide engineering and technical pre-sales support to sales teams.
Directing and leading technical resources as appropriate in winning significant sales opportunities.
Serves as a coach and mentor to a group of pre sales engineers.
Managing Sales engineering cross training, hiring, retention, and skills development programs.
Chosen candidate will be responsible for frequently presenting major sales and engineering proposals to C-level executives/Board of Directors at Fortune 500/1000 corporations
Experience
Must have documented oral presentation skills in front of large and high-profile audiences
Must have excellent written presentation/proposal skills as well
Must be results focused and well versed in a broad set of networking and information technology subjects with a primary focus on IP networking.
Must possess a proven track record of building and managing large teams on a multi location level.
Prefer five years SAN/Storage and Fibre Channel related sales/engineering experience
Storage industry experience highly desired
Server virtualization and VMware knowledge and experience highly desired
Experience in both start-up and larger technology companies
Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline and MBA preferred
Excellent organizational and management skills, as well as, natural leadership instincts a must.
Demonstrated ability to support large business accounts and deliver large opportunities.
Proven leadership and team building capabilities.
Education
Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
