Sales Intern

Overview
Push44 seeks a highly qualified and motivated college student or recent graduate for a part-time (15-25 hours/week) internship. We are happy to structure the internship for class credit. The ideal candidate will have experience in marketing and/or sales, and be very comfortable on the phone. This internship position aims to provide a valuable learning experience that will involve interacting with merchants on behalf of Push44. The intern’s primary task will be to establish relationships and set up meetings between the Push44 sales team and merchants that we feel would benefit from our services.

This candidate will be comfortable working effectively in a team environment while remaining responsible and accountable for results. The intern will gain a wide exposure to the ins-and-outs of working at a startup and will work with everyone from the CEO to the sales team. We seek to provide a valuable and educational experience for the intern.
Responsibilities
Generating leads: finding and doing background research on merchants that would be a good fit for Push44’s services
Contacting merchant via phone and email, and setting up meetings between these merchants and our sales team
Assisting our marketing team in developing strategy and implementing various marketing tests
The intern is expected work at least 15 hours per week, although we are very flexible around school calendars, exam, etc.
The intern will need to come to our Harvard Square offices for training. However, after the intern has gained some experience, we are fine with him or her working from home for part of the time, although some in-office time will be required each week.
Skills
Current degree candidate or graduate of an accredited four-year college or university in or near the Boston area
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications and writing skills; especially comfort and experience with engaging people over the phone
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while remaining responsible and accountable for results
Prior experience in sales and/or marketing
Prior experience cold calling a plus
Experience with Salesforce a plus
Compensation
Part-time internship with tiered structure of bonuses (TBD) based on performance. We can also structure the internship for class credit. We are happy to write job recommendation letters for a top performing intern.
