Sales Managers at Axial are responsible for coaching, inspiring, and leading teams of Account Executives. Sales Managers work to improve their team’s salesmanship, inspire them to surpass objectives
and goals, and drive them to exceptional levels of accountability and responsibility.
Sales Managers support their team in identifying, recruiting and selling new clients to the Axial platform. Clients represent leading private equity firms, institutional investors and the companies they invest in and represent, and investment banks.
Sales Managers are highly effective communicators, seasoned and skilled negotiators, and combine knowledge and awareness of the financial services industry. They have a positive track record in both individual performance and leading teams to success, which allows them to maintain the respect of their team.
The Sales Manager position at Axial represents a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a company that is changing the face of the entrepreneurial economy and changing the way private companies build and manage their growth.
You will report into the VP of Sales.

The Role:
As a Sales Manager you would first and foremost be an inspirational coach. You will drive teams of Account Executives to exceptional performance through daily motivation, inspiration, coaching, and guidance.
You would be responsible for helping your team hit their ACV (“Annual Contract Value”) goals. Each Account Executive has an individual quarterly quota of ACV which you would be responsible for
ensuring they surpass, in turn helping Axial as a whole hit its overall growth objectives.

Additionally, you will work closely with the Head of Sales to coordinate selling strategies, build and test commission plans to motivate the team, and evaluate overall team performance using metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
To be appropriate for this position, you must have prior success inheriting a sales team originally built and developed by someone else, growing revenue by triple digits in consecutive years, and developing both experienced and inexperienced sales professionals into top performers.
Prior experience with private equity, investment banking, financial services, financial technology, business brokerage, consultative selling, Software as a Service platforms, private capital markets, Business to Business technology sales, enterprise selling, and mergers and acquisitions are all helpful to this position.
2-4 years of trained sales experience as an individual contributor
2-4 years of trained sales management experience leading teams of 5 or greater
Track record of over-achieving quota (top 10-20% of company) in past positions
Demonstrated experience of holding teams accountable and inspiring them to perform
Exceptional verbal and writing skills
Seasoned contract negotiation and business development skills
Prior participation in a winning team environment
Glowing referrals from 2+ previously managed team members
