Overview
Xamarin is a very fast-growing, SF-based startup that sells a mobile platform for developers to build great iOS, Android and Windows apps. We are looking for three very smart sales and marketing interns to help us harvest and grow Xamarin’s customer and sales momentum. This internship requires a close cooperation with both Sales and Marketing, and is a great foundation for a long-term career either in the Sales or the Marketing team.
The ideal candidates are passionate, very smart, responsible, self-starters who want to be at the forefront of mobile developer technologies.
Responsibilities
Xamarin has hundreds of developers downloading our trial software every day.
We need help following up with those qualified leads via email before handing them over to the Account Management team.
In addition you will be:
Coordinating logistics for community and customer events.
Researching, analyzing and reporting on success of lead generation campaigns
Involved in various other projects as needed
Experience
The three most important aspects of this position are technical aptitude, intelligence, and integrity. Past experience in any capacity that demonstrates your strengths in these areas is relevant.
Technical aptitude: we are developers building tools for developers. Ideally, you are a developer yourself, or are actively pursuing becoming one. Next best is that you have prior experience working with and marketing to developers.
Intelligence: we are a very fast-moving startup in a very competitive and highly technical space. We are working on a lot of complex marketing projects simultaneously, so it is critical that you can come up to speed quickly and manage the perfect execution of a thousand details.
Integrity: Xamarin is a very honest, transparent place. We are high on executing well, and low on politics and ego. We all work very hard, regardless of position or title, to get the job done right. Past experience that shows your strong work ethic and collaborative nature is a plus.

Excellent communication skills - you enjoy communicating via email, phone, chat etc
Huge bonus if you also have experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM tools.
Education
Undergraduate degree preferred. Coursework in business studies or computer science preferred. GPA of 3.6 or above required.
