Overview
JoynIn (heyjoynin.com) is a web and mobile-based social commerce platform that engages the employees (e.g. bartenders, waiters & baristas) of local businesses (bars, restaurants, clubs and cafes) to drive business results. JoynIn is the only social commerce platform that provides a social network for all three participants in social commerce: business owners, their employees and their consumers. With JoynIn, we are empowering businesses and their employees, through the use of our innovative technology and business model, to change the very nature of commerce.
We are looking for someone with 3+ years of product management experience building and managing compelling, social mobile apps on the iOS and Android platforms as well as associated back end services. You must possess a deep knowledge in the areas of mobile communication and mobile application ecosystems and a good understanding and personal interest in social media, social marketing and social commerce and are willing to bring new and innovative product concepts into JoynIn. You must enjoy working in a fast-paced, fun and highly collaborative environment. You have a strong work ethic, are highly organized—comfortable meeting tight deadlines—and are very detailed-oriented. You have a passion for social and mobile apps and can’t wait to download the next new thing. Finally, you are someone that is relentlessly focused on translating great ideas into amazing products and make them happen.

Responsibilities
Own all aspects of the product development for JoynIn mobile products, including product strategy and requirements, usability, reporting and analytics, release and launch planning, and vendor management
Execute on a well-defined strategy and set of product goals into specific features that drive initial and recurring adoption of a JoynIn mobile apps and underlying web services
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a highly iterative environment
Author product specifications and detailed descriptions of feature behavior
Proven knowledge in working with web and mobile analytic programs and tracking usage and customer behavior trends
Gather and prioritize feedback from customers to help in developing the product roadmap
Drive the schedule and implementation of projects
Track post-launch usage and success metrics, set and communicate goals to internal team
Advocate for on-going iterations of features based on quantitative and qualitative results
Work closely with design and mobile app developers to determine technical and design solutions, prioritize work, and build and communicate schedules
Participate in the marketing process, including the creation of online, and mobile web promotions
Manage product bugs and issues
Evaluate opportunities to bring new and innovative product features and design to users
Determine success metrics for each product
Experience
3+years with direct experience in product management coupled with 1+years of social media, mobile or consumer Internet or consumer software experience
Proven track record of defining and launching successful iPhone or Android app products; Start-up experience is strongly preferred
Experience with mobile, social or online gaming a plus
Strong experience in balancing customer needs with development resources in order to meet deadlines
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to present highly effective presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences
Must be a mobile expert – extremely knowledgeable and on the cutting edge of mobile applications, mobile web, m-commerce, emerging mobile platforms, streaming audio/video, html 5, and mobile marketing
Ability to operate independently while simultaneously juggling multiple tasks and projects in a results- oriented environment
Ability to prioritize projects based on business goals
Proactive in terms of anticipating and resolving issues that may hinder development
Proactive in gathering consensus from multiple internal stakeholders
Flexible and comfortable changing tasks quickly based on shifts in priorities or deadlines
Experience working with mobile app developers
Experience writing product requirement documents
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, challenged by accountability, and an innovator
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar; MBA a plus but not required
