The candidate we are looking for is a scientific engineer with a passion for analysing vast amounts of data, finding hidden patterns and relationships and implementing scalable machine learning and statistical algorithms to improve upon our value-to-user and value-to-client.

Apply probabilistic, machine learning and data mining techniques to build models to improve targeting and revenue.
Work closely with colleagues on the engineering team to put your research results into action.
Dive deeply into the data to understand and apply patterns while maintaining a sense of the big picture
Understand business strategy and translate theoretical and experimental results into usable, scalable applications.
Ability to independently design/develop and test large and complex applications.
Degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence or equivalent.
Superior understanding of algorithms and data structures relevant to machine learning at large scale.
Expertise and hands on experience in using machine learning/data mining techniques – decision trees, SVMs, neural networks, ensemble methods, clustering, matrix factorization for recommendation systems, etc. – on large data sets
Broad and current knowledge in machine learning/statistics (beyond logistic regression)
Hands-on programming experience with languages such as C/C++, C#, Java or Python
Experienced software/research/data engineer with expert-level database and distributed systems skills (SQL, data modelling, Hadoop, MapReduce)
Large dataset experience, preferably working with complex enterprise/web logs datasets
Practical knowledge of Internet Marketing and Advertising optimization systems is a big plus.
Experience with large-scale data mining, machine learning, optimisation algorithms or predictive modelling in industry/production.
Past experience in one of the following areas – Information Retrieval, Data Mining, Text Analysis or Machine Learning.
