Overview
We are looking for someone to improve our search results. Candidates should be comfortable with search engine configuration and with identifying and matching products from different vendors. In order to do this efficiently, we encourage applicants to have experience with APIs, as this allows our site to interact with different points of different e-commerce sites.

Experience
Desired, but NOT Required:
Work experience building search engines
Previous work with Apache Lucene and ElasticSearch
Enthusiasm for Agile processes (Scrum, Kanban, TDD, XP, etc.)
Familiarity with version control systems (SVN, Git, etc.)
Dedication to unit testing, code review, and other quality-oriented practices
Experience with data visualization and GPU computation
Skills
Requirements:
Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, etc.)
Some experience with natural language processing
Machine learning
Data analysis and computational linguistics
2+ years of analytics, data mining, predictive/mathematical modeling experience
Proficiency with common languages used in statistical analysis (R, Python, etc.)
Proficiency in OO programming (C, C++, etc.)
An excellent understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Experience writing and optimizing algorithms
Education
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
