Position Summary
Bersin & Associates got its start focused on helping corporate learning functions be successful. As such, our research practice in L&D is our most mature. Our long history of expertise in this area has earned widespread recognition throughout the community of learning professionals globally. The new Senior Analyst for L&D will immediately step into a very high profile role. Executives at Global 2000 companies will look to this person as a trusted source of best practice and honest council.

Within Bersin & Associates, the Senior Analyst, L&D plays a critical leadership role, partnering with senior management to establish the research agenda, and driving the delivery against that agenda to support new and renewal membership and funded-research goals. He/she will execute on delivery of the research agenda in Learning and Development and will write and publish extensively. The Senior Analyst will work extensively with members, prospective members, and consulting clients answering questions and providing advice and tools. The Senior Analyst will play a key role with establishing vendor relationships and performing briefings.

The Senior Analyst will act as a team leader and coach to more junior members of the team when needed, and may be asked to formally manage others. The Senior Analyst will assist the consulting team as a subject matter expert on special projects. The Senior Analyst will oversee, and often times fulfill, on complex market research studies. He/she will provide cross-functional leadership on internal projects, and play a key role in establishing and maintaining external relationships with members and solution providers.

Responsibilities
Participate in establishing the research agenda for one or more areas within a practice by identifying leading edge trends and understanding the needs of the member base.
Lead research and writing projects with objective of meeting all Research Agenda goals to drive membership renewal and revenue.
Promote best practice standards and provide hands-on expertise for conducting research and writing case studies, research bulletins, and research reports covering a variety of talent management topics.
Identify new research opportunities that will drive membership renewal and new business and begin to contribute to the strategic research agenda.
Lead projects to deliver custom, vendor-funded research.
Develop new ideas, models and frameworks that drive our competitive advantage.
Conduct interviews, develop industry surveys, and manage other research duties.
Define best practice models to ensure consistency within the research department.
Create and deliver webcast presentations to new and prospective customers.
Lead or facilitate face-to-face client meetings onsite with business leaders.
Manage research analysts or outside contractors to deliver analysis as needed.
Respond to complex member calls with senior-level practitioners and answer strategic research-based questions.
Develop research-based tools for strategic services team.
Conduct briefings with vendors to build and maintain the Bersin & Associates’ database of vendor profiles.
Promote personal and company brand that sets our research apart from our competitors.
Engage in thought leadership in industry forums and via social media and blogs.
Work with the marketing and sales teams to help position products and solutions to prospects.
Work with other analysts and sales staff to continuously expand the vendor database by sharing information on new vendors.

Experience
8+ years of business experience in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Industry/Vendor Research, or consultancy.
6+ years demonstrated experience performing quantitative and qualitative projects which required developing new insights and executing on those insights.
Excellent analytical writing skills, with the ability to produce high volume of accurate writing ready for publishing.
Strategic thinking and business skills, with ability to understand key business drivers that contribute to the business success.
Demonstrated desire and drive to be a recognized thought leader within the larger L&D industry and community.
Ability to contribute to the longer term strategic Research Agenda to drive revenue.
Experience working with vendors in corporate learning and HR marketplace, including technology providers, content providers, consultants, and outsourcing companies.
High execution skills, with ability to consistently produce quality results.
Experience with quantitative survey tools, and ability to lead survey design and execution for optimal outcome.
Proven experience creating interview questions to develop insights and key findings.
Highly effective presentation development and delivery skills to internal and external audiences.
Excellent business judgment and decision making skills.
Comfortable working in a collaborative environment, providing and accepting continuous feedback and support.
Ability to travel up to 20% of time.

Education
• BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, Education, Learning or Communication; Master’s Degree preferred; Ph.D. a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary will depend on experience. Bersin & Associates provides medical, dental, vision, flexible spending plan, 401k plan with 25% employer match, 15 days of paid time off (vacation and sick), and 10 paid holidays.
