Overview
We’re looking for a super talented, full-time Sr. DBA who’s not afraid to enjoy our free food, ride the Segways in our office, workout with our personal trainer, and take on the responsibility for various aspects of database operations, assisting engineers with database design and access optimization, change control and versioning (not required to do simultaneously, but super cool if you can).
Responsibilities
high-availability clustering and replication
performance monitoring and query optimization
backups and recovery
data extraction and load
SQL, shell scripting, stored procedures
database modeling
database versioning and change control
system administration skills
excellent communication skills
knowledge of alternative database technologies (NoSQL)
storage management skills (iSCSI, NetApp) is a plus
Redhat Cluster suite is plus
Experience
10+ years in database administration field
Skills
thorough understanding of database operations and design
MySQL, MySQL Cluster
Education
- BS degree in computer science or equivalent
