Senior Designer

at Knowmore in New York, NY   —   Apr 17, 2014   |
Overview
Why work at knowmore?

The People

We've found that the best ideas come to light in a collaborative environment where smart, interesting, and passionate people work together on difficult problems. At knowmore, we have assembled a group of 20 teammates who love working with each other and tackling difficult problems together.

What we look for:

Passion - You won't stop.
Dedication - You do it because you're committed to the team and mission, not because you have to.
Innovation - You are always thinking about how to make things even better, even if there is no practical way to achieve it yet.
Expertise - You're an expert in your area and always improving.
Collaboration - You care more about the team and the product than your own accolades.
Curiosity - You're always looking to know more.
Execution - You get it done.

The Culture

It's a pretty simple formula:
People should look forward to the work. It should be fun.
Work is really an outdated word. This is about passionate people cooperating to make something great.
An open environment of mutual respect and honesty.
The get it done principle. Doesn't matter where or when you want to do it, as long as it gets done.
Always think about what's best for our users.

This philosophy drives how we work. Good ideas thrive above all else. Teamwork is critical. Execution is what matters not face time. We work hard because we love what we're doing. And of course, we know how to have a good time.

We are building a dashboard for your social web. We are a well-funded but small group that enjoys solving hard problems to make the world better for our users. We're looking for the right people to join us and make our team even better as we strive to achieve our mission.

The Job:

As a Senior Designer you will be a core member of our User Experience group, a small team of highly-talented designers responsible for the entire aesthetic and interactivity of our site. We expect you to leverage your experience and our top notch technologists to push the limits of what an experience can be.

With so much to get done, every member of the team is encouraged to participate in all areas of the group. We expect this to excite our candidates and find that the right candidates often make great contributions outside of their area of focus.

Next Steps

If this sounds like an environment that you feel you want to be a part of, please send your resume, portfolio link, links to your relevant social media profiles, and a friendly note telling us a little bit about yourself.

Note: Please avoid formal cover letters and the procrastination that comes with them. Just let it flow! Link to a portfolio is a must.

We look forward to hearing from you!
