Senior Dev Ops Engineer

This role will primarily be remote development, although onsite work is required a few days per month.
Responsibilities
This position is for a senior level DevOps engineer with 5 years of operational experience in production environments. The position includes project level work, implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery processes and tools, design and maintenance of client systems, performance and capacity management, troubleshooting of system and stability issues and sharing of on-call rotations with teammates. Additionally, senior staff are expected to be able to lead projects from requirements through delivery, including working with client development teams directly to help engineer highly available and capable systems. The ability to provide excellent customer service, pay attention to details, communicate efficiently and document thoroughly are mandatory. Multi-tasking and good time management skills are crucial, as is an aptitude for mentoring mid-level staff.
Experience
5 years SysAdmin experience
3 years experience providing full-stack support for production internet application systems
Strong understanding of web application architecture
Understanding of core operational processes - incident and problem management, configuration and change management, working with SLAs
Experience supporting common open-source application infrastructure: Linux, Apache, Mysql, PHP, Java
Advanced HA and Scalability techniques and tools including data sharding, load balancing, autoscaling, caching
Experience with continuous delivery and deployment patterns and tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven, etc)
Proven ability to work with software engineering teams and understand complex software development systems and patterns
Experience with systems management infrastructure such as nagios, ganglia, graphite, puppet, ansible, etc.
Experience with Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Joyent, OpenStack, etc.)
Skills
Proficient in writing scripts for maintenance and automation (bash, perl, python or ruby)
