Amplify seeks an experienced and innovative Senior Development Editor to work with a team of curriculum developers, product managers, designers, and producers on a ground-breaking K-12 mathematics digital curriculum product. Join our team of education visionaries, dedicated to creating a transformative curriculum product that improves student learning.
In close collaboration with the VP of Math Curriculum and the Chief Math Officer as well as the curriculum, product, and design teams, the Senior Development Editor is responsible for shaping content to ensure that the vision and mission of our curriculum is fully realized, and our product offerings are crafted to resonate strongly in the marketplace. The Senior Development Editor will look across grade levels and components to ensure consistency of vision and execution. This is a full-time position located in Brooklyn, NY.

Works closely with the VP of Math Curriculum, the Chief Math Officer, and the product team to conceptualize and implement overall strategy for development and execution of content that supports the math product vision.
Communicates knowledge of competitor’s offerings to math leadership and product teams and collaborates with writers and designers to develop compelling product features that meet customer needs
Collaborates with product managers to ensure that the features of the curriculum are supported and enhanced by the digital platform
Ensures consistent quality and adherence to editorial plan across the products, and provides oversight for developmental editing of manuscripts.
Works with advisory board, and teacher testers to review manuscripts, analyzing feedback and refining content to resonate strongly with the market
Works in collaboration with math leadership, product management, and marketing to articulate the story of our product in the marketplace
2+ years of experience working with authors, teachers, and advisory boards
Proven experience shaping curriculum products that meet market needs and understanding of the K-12 math education market
Proficiency in writing, editing, and project management skills
Must be able and willing to travel regularly to Durham, NC offices
BA/BS in a related field, such as mathematics, education, or English
5+ years’ experience in editorial departments at educational publishing houses with full responsibility for one or more products
Understanding of educational technology and the ability to think creatively within a rapidly changing business environment
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and team-working skills
