Senior Editor

at BlogTalkRadio in New York, NY   —   Jul 27, 2014   |  
BlogTalkRadio is looking for a creative and data-driven individual to come aboard as our Senior Editor. You will be responsible for surfacing the best content on BlogTalkRadio by aligning emerging content trends across a wide range of categories with internal content performance data. You will spearhead the development of scalable editorial processes that will enable BlogTalkRadio to continue to highlight high-quality content and drive increased listenership as content production continues to grow. You will also help create and manage an engaged and active community of content-creators and content-consumers on BlogTalkRadio.

The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy and extremely comfortable in a dynamic start-up environment. He/she will be passionate, energetic, and strategic.
Identify and highlight the best content on BlogTalkRadio
Write, edit, and produce posts for
Optimize BlogTalkRadio content for SEO and social media pick up
Generate and implement ideas for new features, contests, resources to inspire and activate BlogTalkRadio hosts to produce high-quality content on trending topics
Assist with partnership development
2-5 years experience writing or editing for a large website
Experience leveraging a data-driven approach to editorial
Experience using social media in a professional capacity
Knowledge of HTML
Familiarity with standard photo-editing tools (PhotoShop or the like)
Thorough understanding of SEO, web copywriting issues, web research
BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record.
