Model N is looking for an exceptional Senior Engagement Manager to drive the implementation of the Model N Life Sciences Revenue Management Solution on client locations. This individual is an expert in solution implementation with experience using software applications to meet the needs of clients. He/she will work closely with clients to understand business needs and drive the Life Sciences Revenue Management Solution implementation process.
He/she will lead the Professional Services implementation team, perform project management tasks, and facilitate requirements gathering sessions and the solution design. The Senior Engagement Manager will also provide implementation expertise throughout the project, and serve as the first escalation path for issues and change requests throughout the project.
Provide application and project expertise throughout the client implementation
Provide client product and business feedback to marketing and engineering
Facilitate system requirements gathering sessions, including process mapping and improvement
Overall ownership of the implementation design strategy and tasks
Develop and manage project plan to ensure timely completion of implementation
Overall ownership and completion of all implementation tasks
Coach and guide team members to complete tasks and project deliverables
Act as primary source for communication of project information and own the project plan
Resolve conflicts related to schedule, solution, and team performance
Create client confidence in the Professional Services team and in Model N
Maintain accurate and timely written and oral communication
Maintain project plans, project finances, project documentation, issue management, change requests, and change management
Train end users as required
Mentor Model N project team members
Help make complex implementation concepts simple for clients and more junior Model N personnel
Hold team and client status meetings to provide visibility to project progress and deadlines, goals, objectives, and issues
Seek ways to improve the process of delivering solutions to clients
Keep teams motivated to deliver a successful implementation
Minimum of ten years professional experience with at least five in an engagement management role
Previous experience working for an Enterprise software company delivering complex software projects that last between 12-18 months in duration
Experience with Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, and/or CPG industries a plus
Disciplined project management experience, the ability to manage challenging customers and turn around troubled implementations
Technical aptitude required, preferably of Java based Enterprise software applications
Detail and project-oriented
Strong organizational skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Must be able to travel as required (estimated at 20% - 75%)
