Overview
Oodle is looking to hire a Senior Engineer to build systems for better classification and acquisition of classified listings. The engineer will build tools for improving the quantity and quality of Oodle's listings through methods such as Bayesian filtering and other techniques to determine spam and quality and natural language processing to extract locations, prices, sports or ticket events and other such attributes from text listings.
Experience
Significant experience building large-scale systems in object-oriented Perl
Creativity and passion for solving problems and building high-quality software
Strong skills in C and PHP are a plus
Startup mentality (self-starter, proactive, flexible)
Education
BS or MS in Computer Science
