Senior Engineer

Overview
We’re travel and hospitality industry veterans who have teamed together to create a new standard in the travel benefits and rewards industry.

As the engineer lead, you will have an opportunity to build a platform from inception. We’re looking for a leader and doer who can work independently and with a sense of urgency. You'll have an opportunity to work with experienced travel industry entrepreneurs and senior-level travel industry mentors and experience of working on validated, early-stage product. (The job will begin on a contract basis with the opportunity to transition to full-time.)

Your mission: code and release minimum viable product (MVP) of travel benefits site.
Responsibilities
Code and release MVP in less than 4 weeks following Lean Startup Methodology.
Implement A/B tests to improve four key metrics: Registration, Purchases and Referrals and Retention.
Work with team to solve impromptu problems.
Experience
Demonstrated experience in Python, Ruby, Django or PHP.
Experience with SQL or mongo.db and database solutions.
Skills to set up initial level of infrastructure: SVN, git, and test-driven development.
Knowledge of cloud-based web services AWS, Rackspace, Azure.
Proficient with CSS, HTML5, jQuery or similar.
E-commerce experience.
Skills
Efficient, organized, communicates well, transparent, proactive, enthusiastic and pays attention to detail.
Discipline to work autonomously.
Education
BS or Masters CS Degree or commensurate experience.
