Working on multiple concurrent projects in a fast paced environment
Close to the user - customer feedback drives iteration
As a senior front end engineer, you love building responsive, well-composed client side applications. You love working with great UI/UX designers to create elegant and simple experiences that solve problems and delight millions of users. You have a knack for putting yourself in the shoes of the user. You know how to make things fast and feel snappy. Your experience and ability to understand the design goals of the business and to translate them into an elegant technical solution is what you love to do. You have the ability to see the bigger picture and communicate it to others. You’re excited to work on the homepage redesign. You want to A/B test alternative solutions to see which one works better. You can’t wait to start working on a new site feature, or building a widget or figuring out how to get viral growth through a clever social media integration (and you like figuring out how to hack Facebook’s API when the documentation is wrong).
