Overview
Front-end developer with back-end (LAMP) skills for truly cross-platform video / media discovery HTML5 application
Responsibilities
Maintain existing Cordova / HTML5 video / media discovery application built with Backbone & Require frameworks
Implement new features and a redesign
Maintain and expand an existing (LAMP) API hosted at aws
REST-ify our API and refactor our client to leverage Backbone's elegant REST integration
Craft elegant user interactions for the web and a variety of mobile devices
Deploy Cordova-wrapped applications on different platforms (RIM, Android, Windows 8)
Experience
5+ years developing web applications
Demonstrated knowledge of mobile development
Experience with LAMP development
Solid portfolio of user interaction implementations showing a good knowledge of HTML5
Successful launch of a consumer facing application
Skills
Have fluency in HTML5 / Javascript / CSS based animations
Have fluency with Backbone, Require, Grunt (or other build tools)
Deploy HTML5 applications for iOS with Cordova and Xcode
Write, maintain and deploy LAMP based applications on AWS
Design and implement elegant restful API architectures with LAMP
Create accessible cross-platform, cross-browser Javascript applications with accepted principles of progressive enhancement
Have experience with html video cross platform idiosyncrasies, especially with Mobile Safari & HLS
Create simple Objective-C Cordova plugins
Education
BS in Computer Science preferred.
