Responsibilities
The Sr. Java Engineer will primarily be responsible for continuous design and development of a SpringMVC + JSF + MS SQL Server 2008 system.
Lead the agile development efforts and object oriented programming in a Spring MVC framework
Designing and developing ecommerce systems
Continually conduct exploratory research and development – see our video on Hack Days at www.dandb.com/awesomeplacetowork
Lead and perform ongoing code reviews
Take complete ownership and leadership responsibility of projects
Mentor, train and lead new team members
Experience
6+ years of experience in web development utilizing Java
Advanced knowledge of Spring MVC, Hibernate, JSF, HornetQ
Skills
Thorough understanding of agile and scrum
Prior experience with ecommerce systems, caching, and public facing sites
Very familiar with Linux environments
Git, github
Continuous Integration (CI) using Jenkins
Able to lead projects and other developers
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies
Skilled with JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, and SQL
Education
MS/BS in Computer Science or a related field
