23andMe is seeking a deeply analytical individual with forecasting experience to support the Marketing team. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Senior Manager/Manager, Marketing Analytics will play an integral role in forecasting and analyzing the direct to consumer marketing channel for 23andMe. Own forecast for direct to consumer marketing channel; incorporate input from other members of the marketing team and other cross-functional teams.
Drive deep, fact-based analyses behind individual marketing channel performance as well as partner by partner performance.
Work closely with other marketing team members on optimization decisions and cross channel attribution.
Measure forecast accuracy and strive to continually improve forecast methodologies and planning.
Track actuals vs. budget and provide regular updates on both past performance as well as future projections.
Support Marketing team with general quantitative analyses.
Minimum 3 years business experience working in a high-performance, results-oriented culture.
Best in class analytical skills with experience driving data-driven marketing decisions.
Experience working with both small and very large datasets to drive actionable insights.
Work experience with data driven, consumer internet company.
Understanding of the web and analytics/tracking technologies.
Programming expertise in R, Python, SQL or similar languages preferred.
Ability to extract, merge and analyze data from a wide variety of sources (databases, text files, Google Analytics, etc).
Self-starter, reliable team player with strong initiative and the ability to thrive in high-intensity, rapidly changing environment.
High attention to detail.
Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal skills).
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; highly productive and efficient.
