Senior Marketing Manager

We are looking for a seasoned creative, outgoing and self-motivated Marketing Manager with a broad-based skill set. This position is perfect for an individual currently in a similar role that desires more responsibility and exposure.

Our dream candidate is currently in product marketing, is smart, energetic, a creative thinker, at one with the latest technology and has a passion for games, social networks and virtual worlds.

You will be coming in on the ground floor of a small company, but one that is growing quickly. We will soon be launching our site and oodles of content thereafter.

This is a get-your-hands-dirty position and you will be working in numerous mediums, on a variety of different campaigns, and with industry-leading companies. Responsibilities
Help develop and execute the marketing launch, communications and positioning for our releases - to include but not limited to price analysis, media, print, online communications/ branding strategies and implementation, cross-promotions, promotional campaigns, viral marketing development, grassroots campaigns, public relations.
Help assess and optimize pricing, promotions, traffic, usage and other data points
Assist with PR and third party vendors to ensure cost effectiveness and efficient execution of initiatives.
Work with and help manage licensees to ensure proper branding, approval and marketing processes.
Conduct market research and explore critical marketing opportunities, partnerships and report to management and development team to ensure education of latest trends and critical recommendation to the success of company initiatives.
Work with all internal departments to ensure integration and consistency and clarity of communications, design and initiatives.
Experience

SF/Bay area-based -- no telecommuting, no exceptions
5+ years marketing experience
Qualitative and quantitative marketing experience - preferably in the online game or virtual world industries
Critical experience, knowledge and implementation of product launches with emphasis of online products.
Online gaming, virtual worlds, social networks (industry experience or power enthusiast)
Experience in dynamic marketing to 15-24 age group
Emphasis on online marketing, community and retention programs
Graphic design experience
Ad design, layout experience
Copywriting, editing experience
Online advertising (banner ads, adwords, etc) experience
