Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified mechanical engineer who has both experience and enthusiasm and is interested in joining a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company. The ideal candidates should be a motivated, self-starter, and be able to work well both leading and supporting the engineering team. This individual will help organize and manage the mechanical engineering effort, drive processes and procedures to streamline and improve the design process, and be accountable for conducting detailed and timely engineering reviews prior to the release of designs for production.
Responsibilities
Create Pro/ENGINEER models and drawings, and prepare innovative designs backed by engineering calculations and analysis.
Analyze, evaluate, and plan methods of approach and organize the means to achieve the solution of complex technical problems.
Oversee and complete projects in a timely, professional manner.
Shift between various projects and management more than one project at a time.
Direct the efforts of the mechanical engineering team, and be able to manage a distributed team that may include both full-time and part-time mechanical designers.
Experience
Experience in the design and development of complex electro-mechanical systems, including highly accurate servo-mechanical devices.
Demonstrated experience with Pro/ENGINEER and Windchill. Previous experience with OrCAD is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to generate creative solutions, identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, and develop project plans and communicate changes and progress.
