Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT professional to manage critical infrastructure for our rapidly growing company in Reston, VA. In this position, you will have ownership over Information Technology planning, implementation, and support for Resonate’s internal and externally facing technologies.

Responsibilities
Maintain overall responsibility for corporate IT functions for Resonate
Set up, installation, and maintenance, and systems administration of our existing development and production servers
Design and maintain production network infrastructure
Development of strategies for scale, security, and back up for Resonate Network’s platform
Collaborate with our data architecture team to develop strategies for scaling and tuning our systems for ‘big data’ in 100’s of TBs
Develop IT process and documentation that will scale with the rapid growth
Provide corporate IT support for new server builds, networking, desktop/laptop set up, and internal software support
Continually strive to automate and streamline operations and maintenance processes by identifying areas of improvement, writing scripts, and documentation
Experience
5 plus years as a Systems Administrator for production Linux systems.
Experience with very large data sets
Experience with large scale storage technology a must. Specific experience with EMC SANs a strong plus.
Experience with Web based products is ideal
Experience with Xen or VMWare virtualization servers is ideal
Experience writing scripts (python, perl, shell, batch, etc.)
Experience with standard monitoring systems configuration and customization (Nagios, Cacti, Splunk, SNMP)
Experience with cloud computing a strong plus
Skills
Hands-on support for production servers, lab machines and development machines in a variety of environments
System administration for open source application servers and services: Apache/Tomcat, SSH, NFS, SMTP, etc.
Understanding of TCP/IP and networking technologies (bonding, VLAN tagging, subnetting)
Excellent communication, organization, project prioritization, and time management skills
Keen troubleshooting skills
Experience with agile methodologies a plus
Willingness to work after hours and weekends as required by running a production environment; willing to be "on call" during these hours as needs arises
Education
•Bachelors degree or equivalent training in a technical or engineering field of study is a major plus
