Overview
OnGreen, the global clearinghouse and marketplace for clean technologies, is seeking a Senior PHP Developer to lead our engineering team and take our products to the next level.
As covered in TechCrunch, VentureBeat and other top magazines, OnGreen is a venture-backed, White House-recognized, LA-based, cricket-playing, overworking, Turntable.fm-blasting start-up that drives partners and capital to the most promising clean technologies and companies worldwide, transforming today’s environmental challenges into future economic advancement. OnGreen also has offices in Shanghai.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building and supporting robust web applications in object-oriented PHP. They will provide thought leadership and help shape the technical processes and architecture of OnGreen’s internet properties. This position reports to the CTO of the company.

Experience
6+ years of coding web applications in PHP + MySQL or other relational database. Object-oriented PHP background using MVC framework a must.
Experience leading, mentoring, and supporting less experienced engineering teams.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax, and jQuery.
Experience using version control systems, bug tracking software and various open source development tools.
Background working with product, project, and QA teams to understand requirements and produce consistent usability standards.
Experience with caching, performance, and scalability techniques in high growth environment.
Ability to create technical requirements documents and detailed documentation, wireframes, and diagrams.
Skills
Knowledge of SDLC and release management best practices and experience working with multiple environments (development, QA, staging, and production).
Cloud computing, social media, CMS, Drupal, SEO, internationalization experience a bonus.
