Senior Perl Programmer
FriendFinder Networks, the largest adult entertainment company in the world has an opening for a Senior Perl Developer in their Sunnyvale Office. The Senior Perl Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining an email infrastructure that handles millions of daily transactions. They will gather requirements and implement these business critical applications with forward thought to their scalability and life cycles.
Here's what you need to be successful:
Work with project managers to implement features that enhance the overall user experience
Design code modules that scale well under heavy load
Experience developing test suites and feature verification code
Work with QA analysts to resolve issues before going live
Be a highly motivated self starter who can work with fuzzy specifications and deliver concrete results
This will get you noticed:
3+ years' experience with 00PERL and mod_perl
Solid SQL and relational database knowledge
HTML fluency
Understanding of MTAs, email delivery and bounce collection.
Knowledge of email RFCs and best practices
Experience working on high volume web sites
Understanding how high volume and a load-balanced environment can affect coding approach
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Comfortable with adult content.
