Overview
We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager who is able to be creative, quick thinking and bring an out-of-the-box thinking to new product development. Positive approach and attitude balanced with the ability to manage and lead with classic project management tools, processes and methodology
Responsibilities
Create and manage the product release schedules for multiple hardware and software product lines
Manage the product launch schedules for the entire product life cycle (from concept through to release, life testing, documentation and support)
Create product and project documentation (MS Project, User Manuals, etc.
Lead cross functional teams to deliver on-time and on-budget product releases
Estimates effort and tasks duration
Leads prototype creation, manages test cycles and reviews test results
Strategically prioritizes features and tasks, and directs engineering efforts accordingly
Manages vendor relationships
Tracks component and system costs
Assesses new vendors from a technology perspective
Addresses production and quality issues
Experience
2+ years’ experience in leading teams to bring products to market
Experience with development and manufacturing of electromechanical or consumer product
Experience with various forms of manufacturing
Must have worked in an entrepreneurial environment or a startup subsidiary of a larger corporation
Skills
irst hand experience designing or debugging electrical, mechanical or software systems
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to think quickly and act decisively
Ability to lead a cross functional team and effectively delegate
Ability to create strong, cross functional teams that are able to work together either directly or remotely
Education
BA/BS degree in an engineering related field – (ME, EE, CS, Mathematics)
