The Senior Programmer is responsible for supporting and enhancing the scoutPRO fantasy football product. The person in this role will also be involved in developing new, related products
Respond to and resolve incidents and problems associated with the scoutPRO website, technology, or data. This includes coordination with other programmers or specialists. See expectations below for response times
Develop enhancements for the scoutPRO Fantasy Football product. An example on the current priority list is the ability for GMs to import, rather than create, their roster
Support any updates or improvements to the Roster functions - Manage Roster, Optimize Roster and Compare Players
System administration for users
Work with the scoutPRO data analysts and experts to modify rules and skills for player data. Perform database admin, produce analyst reports, and participate in sessions on improving data accuracy.
Provide technical support for the sandbox used by the data analysts, and improve methodology for moving data between sandbox and production.
Provide system admin responsibilities for the scoutPRO hosted site including coordination of backups, security, etc.
Participate in a weekly team call (duration is less than an hour) and meet occasionally at the Atlanta office
Candidates should have at least 10 years development experience in a .NET, C# environment
at least 5 years experience in MS SQL Server database management
The Sr. Programmer will be expected to make minor changes and updates to the website, database(s) and to generate reports from player databases.
The ideal candidate will also have experience in IIS management of websites: performance tuning, security, scalability.
Should be knowledgeable of Source Code Control tools and basic photo editing skills would be beneficial.
