Senior Python Engineer

Our Data Science team has built a superb scoring metric known as the the Bright Score, developed primarily in Python. We are looking for an engineer that can make our code more efficient, as well as proactively identify and remedy potential bottlenecks which could hinder our scalability. The engineer we're looking for needs to be an expert in developing, debugging, and optimizing multi-threaded code in Python, as well as be familiar with Python client libraries for other services including: Redis, Solr, ElasticSearch, CouchDB, and MySQL.

Research, develop and maintain solutions for scalable, available, low latency caching, serving and storage platforms
Work on cutting edge systems that are critical to moving data between Bright's services
Conduct stress testing and load testing
Build innovative solutions to stay ahead of rapid growth in traffic
Experience with concurrent programming in Scala or Erlang (we'd like to experiment with that implementation model).
Experience with unstructured text analysis
Experience with NLTK and NumPy
