Senior QA Engineer

at in Los Angeles, CA   —   Jun 27, 2014   |
Are you a self-proclaimed perfectionist? We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer who isn’t afraid to showcase his/her nitpicky disposition. We are not looking for your average button-clicking black box testers. We want QA Engineers who are famed for their clever, thorough and MacGyver-like ways of testing an entire system;whether it’s front-end, back-end, database or anything in between! We welcome candidates who will do whatever it takes - all in the pursuit of high quality and also to ensure that every ScoreBig experience is a seamless production. If you have an innate quality of particularity and often find yourself trying to break things just to confirm that they cannot be broken, please send your spell-checked and grammatically correct resumes our way. (Bonus points if you can tell us which word we’ve mispelled in this paragraph!)
At least 5 years of public facing high traffic web site QA experience. (We are serious about this. Testing internal intranets or one-off web apps doesn’t count)
Fluent SQL queries (You bet we’ll test you on this during the interview)
Ability to code and test back-end functionalities.
Experience in driving process improvement with regards to software quality
Experience leading the QA effort on large software development projects
Most important is that you have a strong QA mindset. You ask a lot of questions, think of scenarios that few others consider, are passionate about understanding how things in general behave at a very detailed level, and are extremely curious about what decisions, inputs, and conditions could affect that behavior
Competitive base salary + meaningful stock option
