Responsibilities
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will have a leadership role in testing Glassdoor’s financial, ad management and reporting system. You will be establishing and maintaining QA practices, writing test scenarios and executing tests, both manually and with automated tools. You will work with a small, collaborative team of seasoned engineers and business personnel. Because Glassdoor is a startup you will have broad exposure and the opportunity to wear many hats.
Experience
4+ years testing of back end systems and web sites.
Skills
You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, you can change direction quickly, and you're eager to learn new skills as the need arises.
You have several years (4+) of testing back end systems and web sites (and you love finding bugs).
You can create thorough test cases from business requirements, execute those test cases efficiently and document defects.
You know QA best practices and how to create processes to drive quality in a product.
You have experience with automated test tools.
You understand the software development life-cycle.
You are an excellent communicator and enjoy a collaborative environment.
You can take a task and deliver on it without lots of management
Bonus if you are familiar with ad order management systems, Salesforce and Netsuite.
Bonus if you are familiar with Linux, SQL and version control systems such as subversion.
Education
Technical college degree.
