The Sales Engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing the technical aspects of the sales process to successfully close business for all new opportunities, by working as the key technical advisor and product advocate with the entire sales team using a combination of technology knowledge with sales skills.
• Designs and presents product demonstrations/solution proposal/solution design.
• Performs needs assessments and solution discovery sessions
• Able to demonstrate in detail how our solutions are better than that of the competition
• Listen to potential client’s needs in order to explain how we can satisfy those needs.
• Responsible for product and technical responses during RFP requests
• Assist in product strategy and roadmap
• Manages technical sales documents for clear and consistent message to market
• Works on overcoming technical obstacles throughout the sales process
• Provides technical leadership and contact for Account Executives
Responsibilities
Position Requirements
BA or BS degree in computer science or related field is strongly preferred.
Experience in installing software and hardware is required.
Prior experience working at a start-up rapid-growth companies
5+ years experience supporting SAS applications.
Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both orally and in writing, is required.
Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience is required.
Thorough understanding of contact center systems, business processes and customer viewpoints is preferred.
Aggressive, motivated, results oriented, self-starter is a must.
Ability to size up complex situations quickly and in a calm, professional manner.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Effective presentation skills.
Expert in MS Office and other standard sales tools.
Education
BA or BS degree in computer science or related field is strongly preferred.
Compensation
$100k commensurate with experience
