Overview
We're looking for an extremely talented Senior Software Architect to join our Advertising Product Team that will be responsible for providing architectural and big picture oversight for development of new or enhanced products. This position will operate as a leader by providing technical advice, guidance and mentorship to the development team. You'll work as part of a small, focused team developing innovative solutions to highly unique problems focused on turning big data into actionable behavioral targeting and analytics products. Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of the software architecture across the system and providing day-to-day technical guidance to the development teams
Hands-on software development, with a large amount for direct contribution
Managing a collaborative development pipeline
Producing designs and test frameworks in addition to feature code
Contributing expertise in specific technical areas to the team as a whole
Define the system, technical, and application architectures for major areas of development and recommend course of action
Stay up-to-date on business initiatives and objectives, particularly as these relate to infrastructure and development architecture issues. Research and implement best practices frameworks/capability models
Experience
7+ years of experience defining system, technical and application architectures
5+ years of experience leading and/or mentoring a team
Advanced knowledge of SQL databases
Intermediate knowledge of PHP and associated frameworks
Experience in a team-based environment working on commercial software products
Experience with light-weight and/or Agile development methodologies is desired
Experience with open source data processing frameworks is a plus
Skills
7+ years of real industry experience with Java-based development & associated frameworks
Expert-level Java skills and design experience
Education
Bachelors degree and/or equivalent work experience
Advanced degree preferred
