Overview

We are seeking seasoned software engineers to join our team in building and enhancing our open gifitng/e-commerce platform. In this role, you'll use your technical expertise and strong problem solving skills to develop software infrastructure for our platform, enhance our existing core services, and implement key features of our database. The Senior Software Engineer role is meant to groom you to take over as Chief Technology Officer when our interim CTO steps down.

In addition to hands on programming this position requires the ability to manage a team of international developers. You will manage devlopers through Odesk. You will review new feature requests, decide on priorities, select, guide and direct programmers on implementation. You will review all code submitted by developers and either approve or guide them on necessary changes. You will be responsible for developing, updating and maintaing documentation. Other technical aspects of the position are: Adherence to security best practices (with regard to site and data), backup and recovery, operations monitoring and coding.
