Overview
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong Statistics (or Mathematics) background to join the Data Science team at AdFin.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of models and algorithms that analyze the online advertising marketplace.
You will take projects from conception to completion, working closely with the team building the data collection system, advising the UI team on the most effective visualization techniques, and educating the business team on how to apply technology built to real-world scenarios.
Experience
Graduate level probability and statistics knowledge (probability distributions, models, regressions, time series data, anomaly detection)
Experience with statistical computing software such as R, S, Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas), Mathematica, Matlab/Octave
Programming proficiency in both static and dynamic typed languages (two or more from: C/C++, Java, Python, Ruby, Perl)
Pluses: Machine learning (decision trees, SVM, Bayesian methods, classification etc…), Experience with distributed computation tools (such as Hadoop), Ability to work with DBMS systems (such as relational databases), AdTech or financial markets experience

Masters degree in Computer Science. Degrees in Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and related fields with a strong software engineering background are also of interest.
