Overview
ScienceLogic, Inc. is seeking Senior Software Engineer with a focus on multi-process Python development. Ideal candidates will be able to take a lead role in reviewing/accepting requirements, building new data collection and manipulation functionality, and resolving complex defects within the software.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain highly scalable Python processes for the purpose of data collection, manipulation, pruning, etc
Review requirements submitted by product managers and take a lead role in implementing said requirements.
Review and correct and/or delegate resolution of defects
Participate in feature hand-off demos to provide internal exposure to emerging features and functionality
Experience
8+ years software development experience in two or more of: Python, Perl, PHP, C
2+ years Python
6+ years of MySQL, including exposure to views, stored functions, and stored procedures.
Experience developing multi-threaded or multi-process software
Basic working knowledge of at least one of : SNMP, SOAP, RESTful APIs
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, from requirements through delivery.
Experience as a lead coder on at least one major project
Strong analytical skills.
Experience in the area of network or systems management is a major plus.
Flex4/AS3 experience a plus
