Overview
We are looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to join our innovative and agile team.

Responsibilities
Design pixel-perfect mockups and final artwork.
Define features and functionality according to product vision and goals; prioritize features and functionality with other members of product/engineering teams.
Lead whiteboard ideation with sketches & storyboards.
Derive finished detailed use cases, interaction flows, wireframes, and specifications with customers in mind.
Work closely with engineering to ensure designs are properly implemented.
Work closely with product management, visual design, and engineering to make sure what was intended for all product and features in terms of UX is what is delivered; oversee the detailed visual design and implementation of the overall design.
Ensure timely delivery, adherence to requirements, thorough consideration of interactions and usability aspects of features and functionality.
Experience
Combination of education and experience.
3+ years experience as a member of a cross-functional team where you were part of designing, shipping, and revising more than one customer-facing web, mobile or software product.
Familiarity with agile development processes.
Experience creating media management frameworks and workflows.
Experience at a Rails shop.
Experience with Git.
Skills
A portfolio demonstrating intelligent problem solving and the ability to execute beautiful and usable interface designs.
A passion for delighting users and deeply understanding human needs.
A strong eye for layout, color, typography and iconography.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, current design, and interaction trends and be passionate about software products and obsess over their usability.
Working knowledge of opportunities and constraints of current and new UI languages, devices, and technologies as they pertain to visual design.
Strong written and spoken communication skills; comfortable presenting cohesive design approaches to non-design audiences, confident with UX design methods and best practices.
Ability to prioritize and adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Must enjoy collaborating and appreciate the exchange of ideas and concepts.
Highly proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or other visual design tools.
An understanding and appreciation for innovative use of typography, color, and layout for digital media would be welcome in this role.
Understanding of CSS/HTML at the code level to determine how code affects design and vice versa.
Education
BS / MS Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
