Amplify has an opening for a Senior Visual Designer to help lead design initiatives for next generation, tablet/web/and print based curriculum products aimed at grades 3-5. We are looking for an exceptional talent to bring onto the team to help us reinvent teaching and learning in English Language Arts, Science, and Math.
The Senior Visual Designer will focus on the driving the visual development of our products, and work closely with the Creative and Design Directors to ensure the quality and integrity of the product meets or exceeds product vision and pushes the boundaries of visual quality. Demonstrating solid conceptual, visualization, and prototyping skills and techniques, Senior Visual Designers must have the ability to help conceptualize product vision and devise solutions with both the internal art and product teams as well as external vendors. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of new technologies and be able to push the limits of creativity and storytelling within the both the digital and print realms.
Responsibilities of the Senior Visual Designer:
Design original concepts while following specific style guides
Create visually appealing art and designs with a strong attention to detail
Ensures that artistic presentation is consistent within a defined visual style
Liaise with outside vendors to manage handing off of assets for further design implementation
Basic Qualifications of the Senior Visual Designer:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years related experience in user-centric interactive/web design
2+ years’ experience in mobile design Expertise in 3Ds Max, Creative Suite, After Effects, or other technologies utilized in the production of game art
Proven experience with image compression, file correction, and optimization techniques
Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Visual Designer:
Strong commercial experience across UI, Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, Web Design, etc.
Familiarity designing for games preferred
Collaborative teamwork as well as effective independent problem solving
Cooperative and detailed oriented
Effective time management and multitasking ability
Must be highly organized and able to work efficiently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines
Comfortable with short development cycles and changing priorities
Positive, enthusiastic attitude
A drive for continuous learning and skill development
