Senior Web Application Developer

at PhotoShelter in New York, NY   —   May 12, 2013   |
PhotoShelter Team CollagePhotoShelter 2012 Team
Overview
The PhotoShelter technical team is growing again and if you're a senior web app developer, it's time to come talk to us. We need another experienced programmer - especially someone who can confidently spend days (and occasional nights) kicking ass with AJAX and JavaScript frameworks. It helps if you're a lover of good barbecue, karaoke, and classic internet memes...but this is an equal opportunity position so if your skills fit, you must submit.

Our team has pioneered the most complete system for serious photographers to run their businesses online. We offer a powerful set of websites and tools that help photographers display, market, sell and distribute their photography online, and we're looking for you to help us shape the next generation product. We've been doing this since 2005 and we're considered one of the photo industry's most exciting brands. We're VC funded and we're profitable. Over 70,000 photographers worldwide use our system - including some of the top photographers in the world. But beyond the numbers, we're a team of smart people who really like coming to work because we believe in what we're doing...and our beautiful loft overlooking Union Square in Manhattan is certainly a nice place to spend the day too.

This is an opportunity to join a top notch technical team comprised of several internet veterans with prior successes and a Chief Scientist named one of Computerworld's top 40 under 40 (and he's still under 40). It is an EXPERIENCED PROGRAMMING position, not an HTML scripting or design position.

This is a full-time, on-site job in Union Square, Manhattan, NYC, US, Earth. Sorry, we're not looking for contractors or telecommuters.

Only if your skills match the description below, please email your resume/cover letter to us at devjobs@photoshelter.com.
