Senior Web Engineer

A team of seasoned high-tech and ecommerce executives have come together to build a retail website *focused on the customer*.

We're looking for a Senior Web Engineer to step up and command a new web application development team, bringing their experience to the table and leading by example.

Candidates should have extensive web development experience, including experience on at least two large-scale ecommerce projects.
Our site operates in a professional, structured LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). Candidates with LAMP background are desired. Candidates with recent Python or Ruby experience welcome. Open-minded candidates with a heavy Java, .NET, or other background can also send their resumes.
Experience with popular MVC frameworks and a popular client-side JavaScript package (jQuery, dojo, mootools, prototype, etc) is preferred.
Experience integrating & extending 3rd party packages - both open source and proprietary - is desired.
Experience with search engine optimization & marketing, integration with comparison shopping engines and other marketing tools desired.
LAMP stack - PHP web app development frameworks
Javascript + package (jQuery, dojo, mootools, prototype, etc)
web application performance optimization
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
