As we continue in our nationwide expansion, we are excited to announce the opening of the Showroom Director position in our flagship New York store. Overlooking Madison Square Park, our New York showroom is the top performing location and we are now recruiting top tier talent to aid us in our vision. We are looking for a Showroom Director who will be in charge of all aspects of the showroom experience and operations at our Flagship store.
Alton Lane, like many successful startups, is both fast-paced and highly rewarding. No two days are ever the same. As an employee at Alton Lane, you will learn how to work within an entrepreneurial start-up environment while developing the requisite leadership skills to be a successful and independent Showroom Director.
The Showroom Director will lead daily operations, proactively manage the customer experience and drive brand awareness in the New York area, so the ability to multi-task is critical. Sample responsibilities will include:
Customer management throughout the showroom experience
Leading the fabric, measurement and selection process
Work in conjunction with our Business Development and Marketing teams to carry out strategic plans for local outreach, sponsorships and events
Managing community outreach initiatives
Serving as the face and voice of Alton Lane - New York
Tracking, reporting and analyzing critical showroom metrics
General showroom maintenance, staff scheduling and supply procurement
Various administrative responsibilities, including responding to customer inquiries and assisting headquarters staff with customer outreach when necessary.
Proven entrepreneurial, fashion/retail and leadership experiences required
4-5 years retail experience in the luxury industry a plus
Proven leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Engaging and welcoming personality, strong work ethic and great demeanor
Excellent verbal communication and phone etiquette
Exceptional eye to detail, a humble attitude, and the ability to drive results
Flexible work schedule, including weekends/holidays
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Desire to expand with one of the fastest growing brands in the US
