Overview
Digg is looking for an experienced individual and passionate Digg user to help manage the site and support the activities of a 25 million user base. Working in a fun and fast-paced environment, you will need technical ability and individual initiative, combined with a strong customer focused approach. You should have a personal passion for Web technologies and social networking, and be comfortable working in a highly self-directed manner as well as within a team environment.
Responsibilities
Effectively communicate with users and answer support emails
Look for community trends and represent voice of user community
Monitor site activity to prevent spam and track current events within the community
Troubleshoot problems in real-time and implement solutions
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and site related features
Identify and report bugs
Share knowledge with and provide support to other team members as needed
Become involved in related community management activities and outreach as the site functionality expands
Experience
Excellent verbal and written skills, along with customer service orientation
Experience in a customer service or community moderation role
Experience working on a social media or social networking website strongly desirable
Strong understanding of and passion for Digg
Self motivation and ability to work independently (Must have proof points of being a self starter)
Working knowledge of RSS and proficiency with Web tools
Ability to troubleshoot problems and investigate and implement solutions
Personal passion for technology and social media
Ability to work well under multiple, time sensitive situations
Education
College degree (BA/BS) required
