Fast-paced startup is looking to hire a Social Media Intern. A qualified candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills, and an entrepreneurial, can-do spirit. The Social Media Intern will have the opportunity to help create, manage and grow the company’s brand awareness through blogs, email, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. The intern will work closely with The Sill’s co-founder; he/she will be directly contribute to developing the overall strategy and direction for The Sill’s social media program, build and monitor community growth, and drive engagement of The Sill’s existing fan base.
The Social Media Intern will learn about strategic brand marketing, community management, and how to leverage social media channels to engage with new and existing customers.
Research and report on social media “best practices”, formulating recommendations for The Sill’s programs
Brainstorm, develop and implement creative social media programs and campaigns
Assist in creating content for The Sill’s blog, email, facebook, twitter, pinterest, and other social media channels
Stay up-to-date on new social media trends, bringing new ideas and opportunities to the table
This is an unpaid internship (for academic credit or volunteer basis). Undergrad Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors only, please. Graduates welcome. Prior internship experience a must.
An entrepreneurial spirit (i.e. creative, resourceful, scrappy!)
Excellent written communication skills (writer at heart)
Excellent social media knowledge
Excellent computer and mobile skills
Detail-oriented and extremely well-organized with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests concurrently
Owning own blog a plus
Knowledge of houseplants or gardening a big plus
