Social Media Manager

Overview
This position's main goal is to develop the Shulogique’s social media plan nd begin implementing the early phases of the plan. The focus of the project will be on developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic, encouraging product adoption and establishing increasing conversion rates.
Responsibilities
Develop a social media strategy that includes platforms to use, type of content to create, frequency of programs, metrics methods, monitoring procedures and implementation plan.
Implement the early stages of the social media strategy according to plan – this will include, writing editorial, community-outreach efforts, promotions, etc.
Create a presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed to help start spreading the word about the company.
Determine how to monitor and benchmark the social media programs.
Get feedback/insights gained from social media monitoring and share with rest of team
Identify any trends in social media tools, trends and applications that should be applied in the future
Collaborate with website team to develop an effective SEO strategy.
Create reports summarizing social media campaigns effectiveness
Finally, the project will likely expose this person to other aspects of the company – product strategy, customer events and business plan. We will encourage this person to participate in these discussions or activities, when available, to help them better understand the overall business of Shulogique and become better integrated with the other team members.
Experience
Experienced in or degree in - Marketing, Website Design/Interactive Media or equivalent program
1-3 years track record of social media experience, or similar
In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, Digg, Youtube, Twitter, Flickr etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
Knowledge of blogging ecosystem relevant to the company’s field
Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
Have a good knowledge of principles of SEO
Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Ability to be creative in implementing strategies on a limited budget
Experience in creating, sourcing and managing content development and publishing
Possesses functional knowledge or some experience with HTML/CSS
Outstanding organizational skills
Very strong written and oral skills
Note: we are flexible on skills required, but we do need a resource that has had some previous experience or is highly motivated to learn about social media without negatively affecting the desired results.
