We are looking for a dedicated social media coordinator to join our growing marketing department. The Social Media Coordinator will leverage our company’s overall marketing efforts by implementing and maintaining social strategies for the network and personality sites. This individual will be passionate about social networking and possess a solid understanding of traditional marketing principles.
Working closely with the companies Product Director and Online Marketing Manager, the Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for creating fresh concepts, implementing social media / content syndication strategies, and reacting to customer behavior in order to build a successful social media presence. This individual will interact with various levels of the organization to prepare, submit, and manage video marketing materials on popular video sharing sites including creation of potentially viral marketing pieces.
We are looking for a natural communicator, who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and are always on the hunt for new ways to maximize the success of our marketing campaigns. The Social Media Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Marketing.
Implement and manage various social media channels with a focus on:
Maximizing brand presence and exposure
Generating traffic and sales to subscription properties
Assist in recruiting new affiliates to the affiliate marketing program
Work with Online Marketing Manager to develop social media and content syndication strategies and integrate social media into new properties, promotions, and product launches
Coordinate with other social media staff to ensure that campaigns respect best practices regarding implementation, posting, and measurement.
Prepare and submit video clips and manage ongoing relations with video sharing sites
Assist in the writing and syndication of press releases
Write and edit marketing materials, including web copy, emails, advertising copy, and collateral
Review new affiliate accounts and coordinate initial communications with affiliates
Solid understanding of marketing principles, social networking, and excellent copy writing skills
Previous work experience in a social media marketing role an asset
Must be fully Bilingual – Exemplary English written communication skills are required
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, basic HTML and marketing applications required
Experience in video editing, analytics, public relations, and copywriting for the web an asset
Educational background in Business, Communications, Design or General Arts preferred
Ability to work both independently and as a team player with confidence, energy, and creativity
Must exhibit a strong willingness to learn and absorb new information; comfortable with multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
An acute interest in social media and the latest online trends are essential
