Requirements:
BS Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a proven track record and experience
2+ years web application development experience
Practical experience developing Ruby on Rails applications
Capable with XHTML and CSS.
Experience building rich interactions with AJAX
Experience with testing frameworks such as Test::Unit and/or RSpec and a thorough appreciation for being "test infected"
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
Residence in the Bay Area and willingness to commute to our downtown SF office
Preferred Qualifications:
Practical experience scaling web applications (Do you love reading the highscalability blog like we do?)
Video game, and/or viral game mechanics experience
A love and appreciation for unobtrusive Javascript ala jQuery
Practical experience and/or an interest in building Facebook Applications (FBML, FBJS, etc.)
Experience using ActionScript 3.0/Flex
A polyglot programmer who is comfortable working with (or able to learn quickly) the languages that best fit the job as our needs evolve
Comfortable in a *nix stack. We host on EngineYard and use a variety of popular open source packages like Memcached, Nginx, Redis, and more
Startup and/or small company experience
Extra credit given to OSS contributions, GitHub repos, etc. We love real code!
