Software Archtect ( eNodeB)

Overview
eNodeB Software Architecture
Responsibilities
Provide technical support to the LTE access product development teams
Drive common technical requirements and design for product features & functionality
Convert technical requirements into detailed design requirements
Define and document software product architectures
Provide technical input and co-authorship of key documentation
Provide technical leadership to the R&D organization, contributing in coding, code reviews and coding methodologies.
Provide technical leadership to the testing team
Seek out and document unique solutions to support intellectual property submissions
Experience
Very detailed recent experience in macro eNodeB development. Very hands-on person with ability to go up to the code level. This person will dictate the design – not the solution design, but the eNodeB design. Main areas:
1. Scheduler – requires hands-on experience with scheduler implementation
2. Very good understanding of the LTE PHY and the interworking between the LTE PHY and the MAC (including interface with all timing implications)
3. Understanding and implementation experience in 2X2 MIMO, 4X4 MIMO, 8X8 MIMO and the beam forming
4. Very hands-on experience with RRC & RRM and detail understanding of the state machines
5. Mobility X/S1
6. SoN (ICIC, MRO e.t.c)
7. CPRI interface again on the implementation level
Skills
Must have a solid background in software development with experience in multi-tasking real time software product architectures
Familiarity with hardware and software integration issues, including RF products
Demonstrated wireless telecommunications technology leadership is preferred
Demonstrated ability to provide collaborative technical guidance among team members, vendors and clients
Experience with embedded & real time OS, BSP, boot ROMs, and device drivers
Experience working in a lab for software troubleshooting, builds, IOT, certifications
Familiarity with wireless air interface standards such as 3GPP, 3GPP2, WiMAX
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
