Software/DevOps Engineer

at Sharewave in 10004   —   Apr 03, 2014   |
Sharewave is a new platform for private companies to manage shareholders. We play a critical role in keeping a company’s shareholder data organized, legally recorded, and transferrable through our platform. This includes ownership data, shareholder documentation, auditing, and the sharing of that information between the company and shareholder.

We’re a team of 9 people with financial, technology, and startup experience (we’ve worked at places like E*TRADE, Deloitte, Accenture, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs). We are funded, and have attracted a very experienced Board consisting of C-level executives from market-leading companies.

We’re working in the city’s newest co-working space in midtown Manhattan, which hosts a number of startups and small businesses, along with unlimited coffee, Japanese tea and beer.

We’d like to see your resume and any relevant links that showcase your work (website, GitHub profile, projects, etc). You must also be authorized to work in the US.
Your mission at Sharewave will be to act as a catalyst who improves the effectiveness of our application developers. This certainly includes:
making things run faster
making it harder for things to fail
making it easier to figure out what went wrong
making it easier to test things
making it easier to deploy changes
if you have an idea that something will accelerate development, we’ll probably want you to do that, too
Working Knowledge of one of the following: PostgreSQL, Python, Haskell, Java
Experience with Linux (we use Ubuntu)
Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2)
Experience building, updating, deploying, monitoring, and/or testing web applications
Track record of practical problem solving
