Responsibilities
Write well-tested, readable, reusable code
Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
Responsible for planning, processing and performing all jobs in an efficient manner with no assistance from the supervisor.
Responding promptly and professionally to bug reports.
Review and repair legacy code.
Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Supports and develops software engineers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities.
Participate in knowledge-sharing code reviews
Experience
Three years plus experience in software development
Healthcare background a plus, but not required
Skills
Knowledge and skills in utilizing Visual Studio with ASP.Net, AJAX, C#, and SQL Server.
Understanding Microsoft IIS and its configurations is helpful.
Experience developing web based applications using .NET
Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and MVCs
Experience developing object-oriented applications
Experience with version control systems
Ability to design and implement complex medical algorithms
Ability to read, understand and debug outdated code
Ability to read and program in multiple languages is a plus
Understands web/server technology (IIS) intimately is helpful.
Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
Experience with TFS.
Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.
Possess a positive attitude.
Ability to "think outside the box".
Understands and anticipates the possible failures in a growing system and knows how to prevent them
Utilizes source control with multiple concurrent branches
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively fellow employees.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
